The first post to our new baby blog...

We're calling the little one Baby Sowers for now since we do not know the sex and therefore cannot call it by its name yet! but hey, it makes remembering the website easier right???

I will say that both Brad and I are so excited to be adding this little bundle to our home and we already love it so much!

Yesterday we had our very first doctor's appointment and after trudging through all of the medical history with the nurse and Brad sitting in on my gyno exam, we finally got to the best part... Marie, my nurse practitioner, went about the task of finding Baby Sowers's heartbeat... and what a task it was!! I was laying there wondering if she was ever going to find it after searching my whole pelvic area it felt like, but... turns out Baby was front and center! And the best part, the little one had such a nice strong and healthy sounding heartbeat that I couldn't help by feel elated by the sound of it!!! I called it a happy heartbeat!!!

Anyhoo- we are looking forward to our next appointment at the beginning of February and each of us has started reading our baby books: me, Pregnancy Week By Week and Brad, What to Expect When You're Expecting! I think by the end of this pregnancy, we should both be experts, haha!
